Hey mate, I put a Hideaway in my XTP as well. I'd recommend installing it under the drivers seat, that way you can leave the stock subwoofer under the passenger seat and run both at the same time.

Interesting!

I had always wondering if I could do this. (Run both underseat subwoofers at the same time.)

Do you have instructions on how to do this?

After much deliberation and thanks to eBay's 15% coupon deal last night, I've now acquired a brand new VF52 from Subaru Docklands.

So excited! :)

Subaru Docklands had it listed at $1,500.

I paid $1,275.

Easily the cheapest I could find for a brand new VF52.

Others were around the $1,600 - $1,800 mark, brand new.

I found that second hand ones were fetching around $900 or so, then I figured a small premium for piece of mind was warranted. ;)

Sorry mate, I never saw your reply! If you're still interested it's no different to installing the hideaway normally. You just put it under the drivers seat. It doesn't interfere with the stock subwoofer in any way.

I had my hideaway installed under the passenger seat replacing the stock sub. As soon as I finished the install I realised I could have left it in and put the hideaway under the drivers seat, so a few months later I moved it

I think it produces much better sound under the drivers seat anyway, but that could just be in my head.
