I like all the small simple mods you do.. and I always end up buying them out of impulse
(Just ordered the drain plug)

Small simple mods are within my skill set. The stuff you do is well beyond my capability :)

This is awesome! Ive been reading through a lot of the S-Edition and XTP builds and probably my favourite thing about all of them is how they start...
"Probably wont do many mods" or "Just doing the basics to make it a better daily"
Which is then followed always by a giant list of mods! Haha, keep it up man :D

Yeah I haven't kept to the comment in my first post "Not planning on doing too much with it. Just a few things to make it how I think it should have come from the factory." :)

Most of what I have done is more what I see as mods that would have been good from factory with only a few things that I see as 'above factory' or not required.

I think the following are 'above factory':
- Dump pipe
- Silicon intake and SFB
- 3 port
- Subframe lockout kit
- High beam bulbs
- Backup LEDs

I think the Sharptones are not a good mod. They look good but I don't like the sound. I don't like the sound of Supertones either. I may change them one day.

Learning and doing mods is fun!

Dont forget, the hella supertones are not meant to be liked. Means the person who was about to pull out into you probably also doesnt like the sound, but it just prevented an incident

I just think there are better sounding horns that will do as good a job. That said I don't think I have used them in the last 12 months so not really much of a problem to be concerned about :)

Though I know what you mean, I was rather disappointed when I first used mine, it actually startled me as I had installed them a while back and never used them. I too wanted to change them, but thought thats going a bit overboard. Glad someone else thinks the same

I am in the process of installing new front component speakers - I will add details when finished. To help improve the sound and to help reduce road noise I am installing sound deadener to all doors (inner and outer skin) and boot area. I am using Dynamat - a bulk pack off eBay. Here is a quick video of the difference in making the doors more ‘solid’. This will reduce vibrations and keep out road noise. It also makes the door have a deeper thud when closed :) I will report back on how much it reduces road noise when all done.

You'll wonder why you didn't Dynamat sooner!

I did all four doors, inner and outer skins.

I left the boot 'as is', only because I like to hear my exhaust.

I'd love to do the roof but haven't worked up the motivation to pull out the head lining yet.

Nice jonp .. also looking at upgrading my speakers, now that I have replaced the head unit, so can't wait to hear the results, especially once you have completed the sound deadening.
