A good couple of days...
- Front brakes (Liberty GT Spec B) installed.
- Tune done.

I need to drive the car more to test the brakes but so far seem better.

The tune - a big difference :) One of the vacuum hoses to the wastegate was creased which meant peak turbo pressure was only 8 PSI prior to the tune!!! Seems it was that way from the factory. So a new hose and a tune, keeping in mind this is stock, resulted in a 275.5N.M increase in torque and a 21.8KW increase in power. Big improvement :)

Very happy with the improvement. The numbers say one thing but more important is the way it drives - smooth, hard acceleration!

Great to hear you're happy with the tune.

Out of interest, do you still have the standard dump pipe for that tune?

Also, noting your comments on the need for quiet exhaust (if going bigger), i have:-

- XForce 3" dump pipe with catalytic converter
- Custom mild steel mid pipe (2x louvered 2.5" resonators in series - see pic at viewtopic.php?f=12&t=54775&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=10 ) and 2x 2.5" mild steel tri-flow mufflers with stainless tips (quiet exhaust with subtle boxer rumble).

There is a tiny bit of cabin rumble but it's otherwise fairly quiet. In the opinion of the exhaust/mechanical shop that did the custom exhaust work, if I wanted it any quieter I'd need to go to to totally stock cat-back section.

These notes might help you crack the elusive "quiet performance" nut.

The other thing is that exhaust volume/sound issues are so personal and subjective that you can't believe anyone's description of "quiet" or "good tone" :p
