Coilovers are in, and the certainly look the goods

Image

Hard to see the actual end result but the car is sitting about the same in the front as the previous lowered setup, and about 15mm higher in the rear, to achieve a flat stance.

Ill see what other tweaks are needed this weekend after a couple of days of driving to settle them.

At the moment they are not set up properly, other than ride height, and a negative 0.5 degrees camber in the front. Car will be going off to be set up properly next week.

The ride is a little bouncy, so I think ill have to address the dampening?

Had the car aligned to suit the coilovers. To get the correct rake, the rears came up about 2cm from the last photo

Image

With the amount of adjustments that had to be made, I am seriously doubting that pedders did all the adjustments, they were supposed to last time an alignment was done.

Also installed a new set of whiteline rear swaybar endlinks.
I have noticed that the part number has changed over the last couple of years, and these KLC200's are replacing the older KLC182's Hopefully these are better suited to the job

Height looks mint. That workshop looks familiar  :geek:

Never been there, but am thinking it will be on the cards before we go away in October.
Heard his work is impeccable and isn't happy until you're happy.

Keen to hear how you like the alignment job and overall setup of coils etc.

Shoutout to Peter at road2race for setting this up.

Skyrex, you are spot on, attention to detail was spot on, and I was given emails photos of the setup to confirm I was happy before it was taken off the hoist.

As for the coilovers, I am getting used to them, medium to large bumps are absorbed easily, and the car settles quickly after a bump.

What I would like to work on is the response to small bumps, which jiggle you in the car around a bit compared to stock, and I would like to do something about the NVH coming from the rear.

It is my fault, you put in a heavy swaybar, and coils and the NVH is going to increase, but I am considering some sound deadening in the boot may help with some of the noise coming from the rear.

I am thinking if i go down the path of rear pineapple slices and diff lockdown kit, the noise will increase again
