Thanks all! Yes unfortunately I do have an issue with the new motor (ticking sound from one side of the valvetrain) but hoping it's just valve clearance which needs adjustment.
I also have a dud reverse switch in the gearbox and I also need a speedo adjuster as the cluster I have is AUDM STI which is 4.44 and I'm using 4.11.

But even with all that it's really a thrill to drive even on wastegate boost. The auto just turns these into slugs.

I took the 2 wires that were for the original inhibitor switch on the auto box and installed a generic clutch switch into the clutch pedal and wired it up. Very simple but better than just bridging the wires together IMO.

Sadly it was not the valve clearance ticking. Leigh Hines local Subaru specialist had the car for a week. Inspected the valve clearance, took the cams out and checked everything else and couldn't find anything causing it. So I have the car back in my garage and will be pulling the motor shortly and removing the head. Unless I find anything in the next few days. The ticking sound was due to poor valve seating, which required re-machining of the heads. So I now have the heads back, refitted and motor back in car. While that was happening I started upgrading a second inlet manifold. Crinkle painted, bigger fuel rails, braided fuel lines and fittings, FPR1200 reg. Should have everything back together this weekend. Pics to follow.

Hi all, long time no update. Have been driving the car on the new motor for a few months so now the run in is done. I am currently carrying out overhaul v2 which is upgrading fuel system. GTSpec UEL headers. Dom 1.5XTR. Ultrex TBE which will sit tighter to the chassis so I can go lower. Cosmetic mods - adding a top coat of Plasti dip metallic blue and silver and matte black bottom half. Interior completely black, Aerocatch bonnet pins. Also fitting a front lip, canards, new wider wheels - XXR 551 18 x 9.75 +22 and Momo tires. I have the following on its way direct from Japan - STI Pink trailing arms, Project U lock nuts, Cusco lower arm brace, Beatrush diff support, Group N engine mounts. Also have an Z32 AFM and will modify the Process West CAI to suit so the Power FC can handle the power output. Then it will be off to either Allstar or Garage 101 to drop in the bigger injectors and tune. Exciting times. Pics to follow.

Yeah I have basically been buying and selling turbos without even putting them on because I knew it would end up here. I'm hoping for 250kw atw but the Suby gods will decide the final number :)

Thanks. Been a long time since updating. Car is sitting on 245kw atw at 1.6 bar. Pretty fun to drive, although there is some issues due to having an old EU (PFC) and side feed injectors. So I have a Link G4+ sitting in my shed and will go MAFless tune and also top feed injector conversion. This should sort out my low rpm issues. Have taken the car to the track twice and has kept up with pretty much everything except a few dedicated interior stripped track cars. Next year Im going rotated mount T3 turbo setup and FMIC to get a bit better turbo response and a bit more power.
