so last week i made some more progress with wiring the dccd in and now i have control of the center diff in manual mode. dont think auto is quite up to doing much atm tho as it needs its tps wire and and front and rear abs sensors for wheel speed inputs.

i have bit the bullet on injectors. went with id1300x. while i was shopping i also bought some project mu hc800 pads for the front brembos and a 2" perrin uppipe to replace the smaller 1.75" item on the car at the moment

pulled off the headers and uppipe today.
found a hair line crack in the headers near the uppipe flange. ny welds are still rock solid. so i started fixing the headers and getting them ready to be wrapped and put back on with the new uppipe (Perrin 2" titanium wrapped and then in a Perrin uppipe blanket)

while i was there i installed a torque solutions billet pitch stop mount.

afew weeks ago i replaced a headlight and passenger front quarter panel after i ran into the back of a van on my commute home form a long day at work
thought i would upload some pictures from the day
got a good deal with a part exchange headlight for $450 but i did notice some condensation in there yesterday when i was installing the injectors so i will be giving them a call about this and monitoring the issue
and while i had easy access to the headlights i changed the indicator globes to the silver coated orange globes to get rid of the egg splat look

i have another front quarter to replace the drivers side one. its strapped into the back seat for safe keeping till i can get it painted

have also purchased:
a viper alarm with remote start which i will be pulling the dash out to install just for good measure
solid transission mounts
super pro rca kit as i sold the whiteline one
superpro front swaybar links
super pro front lateral arm bush to go with the rear offset set i have
24mm superpro rear sway bar mounts to go in the stock mounts i have been welding up
folding mirror switch control unit to go the the folding mirrors i need to instill

next mods to be sorted
finish fixing the headers, wrap them then install back on car
install new 2inch uppipe
radium fuel rails - just waiting on fittings
turbosmart fpr800 with proflow fpr gauge mounted to it
flex fuel sensor plumed in on the return
eibach front camber bolts
superpro front and rear bushes for front control arms
superpro steering rack mounts
superpro steering rack ends and ball joints
superpro front end links

then it will go for its long overdue and very needed wheel alignment

installed radium fuel rails with gates barricade hose and turbosmart fpr onto intake manifold in the shed and deleted the evap purge valve thingo last night.
also ordered all the factory coolant lines to be replaced while the motor is in pieces. bolted in the uppipe in on thursday. need to see how the headers fit after welding up a crack near the uppipe flange. also waiting on a tool to separate the cone from the front ball joints so i can install the superpro rca kit i bought to replace the whiteline kit i sold. i have to say the whiteline kit looks alot more appealing. i will get some phtotos of both for comparison as its still in the house. i sold them to the missis brother for his xt
still sh1t loads to be done on the car. but the rain isnt helping.

I binned the chrome plated ones after I realized they can barely be seen in bright sunlight. I went with the Diode Dynamics lowest output HP48 globes which have a sheath over the LED's. The output against the Chrome globes is horrifically impressive.

reinstalled the headers and uppipe this evening after straightening a warped flange. was very warped from welding. to straighten it i bolted it to the cast headers flange as that would have little flex and distortion. i heated it and then tightened it with a washer spacing the 2 flanges. once close to flat i used the belt sander to surface the flange ready to bolt up. also gave the inside a grind, port and polish
