Was a bit of a waste garnet blasting off the new ceramic coating. But need to weld the standoffs to the pipe. Will get both the heat shielding and up pipe done in HPC coating (slightly thicker).

Version 2.1 vacuum block commences today at lunchtime and continues on tonight. Will have the up pipe standoffs welded on tomorrow, then can start looking at the mammoth task of doing the same for the headers.. and at the same time fit the bungs for the thermocouples on the headers.

Stayed back at work this evening and machined up another vacuum manifold for the two MAP sensors (one for arduino and the other for boost/Vac gauge). Decided this version was more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Trawled over a few hundred LED’s on RS Components to find the exact one for my inspection port. Needed to be around 4000-5000k temperature, 120deg angle, approx 30 candela and smaller than 8mm... only one matched :ok:
Was very surprised when connecting it to the power supply how hot it got. At 3v it was drawing 500mA. Probably explains why on the underside of the LED it has a heat sink. The red sleeve is to isolate the area which will contact the heat sink (as it is live). I machined up a 5mm rod and used heat shrink on it before pressing it into the housing.
