Been doing a lot of deep spiritual thinking recently and decided to scrap the single 12” pusher thermo fan and go with twin 10” curved blade puller fans for the water to air radiator.
Its going to make mounting so much harder with the crash bar, but you gotta do what that little voice tells you.. :dontknow:

At the moment my clutch is with Jim Berry and he’s machining and rebuilding it tomorrow. That man has a serious anount of knowledge when it comes to clutches.

When the A/C is active, i’ll have two electronicly actuated ball valves bypass the ‘water to air’ radiator. The water (coolant) would actually absorb heat if it was running through the radiator as it would be colder than ambient. So necessary to do so.

Final bit of the puzzle completed. Oil and water pump on, time to bring it home.

Just received the clutch back from Jim Berry Race Clutches. It’s gone from 1,080kg clamp force to now 1,600kg. This will ensure absolutely no slippage, except it now transfers the weakest point to the gear box teeth. I have plenty of mechanical sympathy for the five speed, so don’t plan to sshhlam (sic) it through the gears or side step the clutch.

Is that the last of the parts needed for the engine build?

As a matter of fact.. Yes it is.
I hadn’t even considered it until just then.

Might just quietly go outside and fist bump the mod gods.

In the best traditions of the "unboxing videos" phenomenon, I assume you'll shortly be posting pictures of the built block as delivered (eg the piston deck etc.)

Like this? That was before he wrapped it up and mailed it. It’s actually wrapped in oil paper and then plastic wrapped so I wont open it up until just before it goes in. Dont want rusty bores now do we.
