I think the only thing I'll do from here is colour coded door handles.

Rowie has taken care of this car so well. For an almost 10 year old car it is in beautiful condition!

Thank-you, that's because of CDO ( OCD in alphabetical order! )

Its already has a turbo inlet & PW cooler so thatll be it. I know the td04 turbo is normally a given to palm off but in all honesty Im really liking the quick spool on the street. 0-60 which 80% of what the car does Im wrapped with, particularly being an auto (which I've never had) straight line acceleration is fantastic.

On another note its too loud for the Mrs so Im going to get some STi quads for it. How bad is the drone on the auto? Ive read the 'STi quads on sh9' thread which says put steel wool in the mufflers?? Surely there is a better option.... :dontknow:

I had good success with the local exhaust shop adding a center barrel muffler.....

I've got a 3" dump followed by a custom mild steel centre section with two louvred resonators in a row (then the mild steel back section with two s-bend mufflers).

It's not totally free of low-frequency cabin noise (eg. i like it, my wife tires of it) but it is an example of some of your options for the mid section and end section.

If noise was more of a factor you could go smaller diameter than my mid and end sections for example.

Mild steel is reputed to be quieter because it tends to be thicker than stainless.

tapering down to a more restrictive mid and rear section seems to have very little effect on performance if you have your 3" dump pipe sorted.

My experience is customer 3" to 2.5" centre with a resonator, and then bolt up to OEM quads. Its the OEM centre pipe which gives the drone - I've got this setup now and its virtually factory sounding. You can check it out when you come to pickup the spacers, however I'm going to swap the OEM quads out with Varex when time allows

Ah ok... Thanks for the input there all.

So who has an Auto with a Xforce SS TBE but with STi quad mufflers? Surely thats been done plenty of times yeah?
