Oh! Can someone fill me in, I haven't been thinking Subaru at all lately...

The above setup comes with rear hubs and axles for the change to R180 obviously, but I currently have WRX 2 pots in the back. What are my options? Do I need to just pony up extra cash and buy some rear Brembos and rotors, or can I make the 2 pots work somehow? I assume handbrake size is bigger on the FSTI setup... Is there conversion rotors or something? I vaguely recall something along those lines.

Pretty sure there is a conversion rotor that will allow standard wrx 2 pots to work with r180 190mm handbrake backing plates. Its pretty common for rally guys. I cant remember the part number. But it exists, pretty sure DBA do it.

Unfortunately the rear hubs that came with my 6MT aren't in great condition. The backing plates are really rusty and it's chewed through in some places. I decided I'd replace the backing plates, and therefor the wheel bearings. Anything else that needs replacing too, and all the fasteners.

I managed to get one apart today, which was a pain for various reasons. First the backing plate really did not want to let go of the knuckle. Ended up using the press to get it started. Also, they don't fit in my press!! So, getting them back together should be interesting.

I've got one apart so far, and the hub itself is in good condition. Some wire wheeling and the hub and knuckle will be good to go. Tone ring looks OK too, just needs cleaning.

So, new backing plates, bearings, fasteners and ARP studs and they'll be good to go. Need all new handbrake everything too! Gonna be a bit pricey, but I'll feel good knowing everything back there is in good nick once done.

Probably going to chop the dust shield portion of the backing plates down to suit 2 pot rotor size, otherwise there will be something like 20mm of backing plate visible around the circumference of the rotor. That'll look weird I reckon. Was thinking of just going Brembos, but not sure I could be bothered with the extra cost and work.

Haha, yeah fun job eh? I went through all this probably 24 months ago now, but likely only about 10 thou klms!! When I installed the 2 pots originally.

Will have stuff to sell I guess.
