TMIC to throttlebody hose. Biggest gripe is that throttlebody orientation. FFS Subaru engineers must have been pulling hard on the glass barbie when they designed that little number. Was even more shirty when the rubber jackets over the ends of the pipe unglued. Of all days to let go - xmas eve. Well it's all back together now. Used the hairspray technique. Crikey!

eBay Businesses
In the past few weeks I have been trying to source a electric window regulator with motor for one of my sons cars and a radiator for a Rodeo ute I own.

Found a couple of businesses on eBay that advertised the items I required.

One ad states drives side front door window regulator (together with the model). The ad fails to state whether it is a manual or electric regulator (it can be either) & no photo in the ad.

Next, advertises front electric window regulator and motor (to suit the model) yet it fails to state what side it is, and does not give a selection to choose left or right. :?

It amazes me that a business advertises a item and neglects to ad the most important information. Then one would have to send them a message and wait for a reply which creates un-necessary delays and wasted time for both the customer and the business.
I purchased a regulator from a business that had all the necessary information in the ad.

Next, I required a radiator for my Rodeo that has a 4 cyl Isuzu petrol engine.
I found one (on eBay). Reading the ad, it stated for customers to carefully check the photos and measurements before ordering. So I carefully checked and noticed that it showed 2 different radiators in the photos. Only a slight difference but enough to effect whether it fits. I sent them a message to clarify which one they were selling together with a screen shot of the photos showing the difference, and which one I required.

Received a reply 2 days later, saying that the particular photo (which was the radiator I required) was incorrectly inserted in the ad & the other will not suit my vehicle, and thanked me for bringing it their attention.

I found it comical that they ask you to carefully check the photos before ordering, but they neglect to do so when they compiled the ad, and then to top it off, they leave the ad the same after it is bought to their attention.

Sent a message to another business on ebay who advertised a radiator to suit my model, (which I had my doubts) and never received a reply.

I contacted a National Radiator company, and gave them all the details of the vehicle & radiator. They were going to call me back shortly. Haven't heard from them since.

I finally got a radiator after looking at a much earlier non-turbo diesel model that a friend owns. Located one, purchased it, and bolted straight in, without any problems. :)

And while on the subject of radiators, my wife phones me to say that the Subaru has coolant leaking.
Went and checked it out and discovered the top tank leaking. Grrrrrrrr!.
Purchased a new radiator and also replaced the hoses, thermostat & cap while I was at it, and all is well again. :)

VicRoads....

What a shambles you are.

Could not possibly be more unhelpful after calling 5 times then waiting for 45minutes on hold. Absolute disgrace for the amount of money they sting us for yearly.

If you ring the "per$onali$ed plate$" phone number for Queensland Transport, the on-hold waiting times are non-existent compared to calling the regular Qld Transport number.

Weird. :dontknow:

*sighs. Was under the car today to regrease and tighten the front sway bar. The replacement front driveshaft is 25mm diameter, not sti, so back to the mechanic it goes. I even asked if it was the correct diameter, ffs.

Aftermarket replacement. Inner boot split while on holidays, lotsa sand in the grease, so opted for a replacement.

Kids!

Last week, he leaves his trumpet on the bus on the way home from school, hasn’t been seen since. Now, he’s lost his our mobile phone, and due to parental control software on it, I can tell someone has it!
